DebateSports.com was started by five friends who just graduated from San Diego State University. The five of them all came from different backgrounds and hometowns, but they all shared the same infatuation for sports. They argued sports every chance they had. Whether it was at bars, sporting events, on the walk to class, or just hanging out in the living room, the five of them could not help but find themselves debating sports. When they weren't debating, they were often watching the "pros" do it on TV, wishing they too had the opportunity to showcase their sports knowledge in front of a live audience. With no clear idea of what the newly college grads wanted to do for work, and the only desire that felt real being their sincere love for sports, the idea for Debatesports.com was born. Debatesports.com combines the skill of argument with the knowledge and love for sports by providing a platform for which sport fans across the country can debate various topics. As part of a promise to provide its members with as 100% freedom and flexibility, topics are created and introduced by debatesports.com’s very own members. The debates are then argued upon and posted on the website where voters will have the opportunity to cast their vote on who they felt presented the better argument. Debaters across the country will be given a win/loss record based on their debate history, and rankings will be assigned to members based on their corresponding records. Aside from hosting the most exciting and competitive sport debates on the world wide web, Sports debate will play host to all types of timely sports updates and newsworthy articles. So go ahead, test your knowledge against others across all major sports and see if you have what it takes to be the nation's #1 sport debater.
